The case is barely warm all of the time. Even the 5400rpm stock drive from Apple was much warmer, even hot sometimes. I have had 7200rpm drives in previous MacBook Pros and they ran extremely hot sometimes.</p> <p>The SSD is a great improvement with less heat alone.</p> @thai – my laptop is much cooler with the SSD drive.
