This reminds me - I'm behind schedule on my backups.</p> <p>I can't afford all the fancy stuff, so I just burn my important stuff (code, data, installers, etc) to a DVD. Unfortunately, it means that if anything goes wrong I'll need to reinstall all my software from scratch. Have to blame Windoze for this.</p> <p>I used to rely on Vista's backup and restore program, until one fine day it (backup and restore) stopped working. Luckily nothing's gone wrong yet *touch wood*. But I've had to toss a lot of backup DVDs into the trash bin due to this problem.</p> Ugh! This reminds me – I’m behind schedule on my backups.

I can’t afford all the fancy stuff, so I just burn my important stuff (code, data, installers, etc) to a DVD. Unfortunately, it means that if anything goes wrong I’ll need to reinstall all my software from scratch. Have to blame Windoze for this.
