InfoQ Gang at RubyFringe

UPDATE: The conference sessions and the interviews will be up on the InfoQ site at www.infoq.com/rubyfringe.  Look for them in the coming weeks.

Here is the gang from InfoQ at the recent RubyFringe conference in Toronto with some additional folks:

RubyFringeInfoQ

From left to right – Werner Schuster (InfoQ), Tom Preston-Werner (GitHub, Powerset), Floyd Marinescu (InfoQ), Joseph Hurtado (innocent bystander, photographer and Ruby fan), and myself.

I had a great time at RubyFringe this weekend and interview many speakers, 12 in total.  InfoQ also taped all 20 sessions (Zed’s included).  This was my first trip to Toronto and loved the city which is truly an amazing city.

Thank you to Joseph for posting the photos which include the one above.  The complete set shot can be found on Joseph’s Flickr page.

Rob, great post, and nice picture too, even if I say so!
You guys at InfoQ did an amazing job with all those interviews, looking forward for the videos. Impressive developments keep happening on Ruby Land; Tom Preston’s interview by Werner is the tip of the iceberg.

Everybody is keen to know the release time line on the taped presentations and the interviews. Any idea when we can see a release schedule?
It was great to meet all of you. Nice work!

@anita – great to meet you, it was a fun but long day. I know they plan to start putting up the sessions soon and the interviews once transcribed. Thankfully I don’t have to do that myself.
All of the work will be at http://www.infoq.com/rubyfringe, which does not have content just yet.

I noticed that you posted on Twitter that FailCamp failed at RubyFringe. That’s actually not the case; Joey deVilla and Hampton Catlin hosted a very successful event with about 50 people in attendance.
    Just saying, is all.

@Pete Thank you for taking the time to comment and thanks for a great conference, RubyFringe was truly great.
I attended the FailCamp at RubyFringe so I know it went on and Joey and Hampton did a great job, no doubt. My comment on Twitter was aimed at Amy Hoy for touting FailCamp but FAILING to show up, my point was she failed at FailCamp. It was just intended to be an ironic joke.
