The ALT.NET Podcast

May 29, 2008 by Rob Bazinet

Mike Moore has a new podcast out called the ALT.NET Podcast where he talks with the people following the ALT.NET community.  I have listened to the first two episodes and think both are really good and deserve a listen.  Mike is the creator of the Rubiverse podcast as well. altnetlogo

I recently had the opportunity to talk with Mike about the podcast for my work on InfoQ.  Mike has some great plans for the podcast and if you follow the ALT.NET community then give it a listen.

The term ALT.NET seems to have gained a lot of traction of the past year or so since David Laribee came up with the name and has hosted a couple "unconference" ALT.NET conferences so far along with Scott Bellware.

    Thanks for the shout-out, Rob!

One factual item for the record: Scott Bellware was the originator/host/chief-organizer of the original Open Spaces event in Austin. I inherited the Seattle event.

Scott was a _huge_ factor in getting this thing off the ground, so credit where credit due!

@Dave Thanks for the information and just to be clear, I didn’t leave Scott out intentionally.
